Welcome to my page!
My name is Adam Griffith. I am a student at Penn State University studying for my bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology with a concentration in Design and Development. I have my associate degree from Penn State University in Information Sciences and Technology with a concentration in Networking. I have a vocational background in management, customer service, dispatching, and telecommunications. I am a certified customer service representative from the Association of TeleServices International (ATSI). I am interested in leveraging my telecommunications and customer service skills toward a career as a computer network support specialist. I am a certified TestOut Server Pro 2016: Install and Storage, TestOut PC Pro, and TestOut Network Pro in addition to being CompTIA A+ certified.
As an Information Technology major, I have been the Project Manager for all my group projects, including for my Organization of Data class. We created a database and created a written proposal estimating labor costs, detailed breakdowns of responsibilities, and costs of hardware and software. My classmates and I received a grade of 100%. Therefore, I have hands-on experience working with SQL. I have similar experience with Java and Python.
I am passionate about new technologies. In the ever-evolving fields of information technology and computer science, new technology is consistently being created. My passion for learning helps keep me from being stagnant and stuck with the inability to adapt to technological advances. Since I began my education in Information Technology, I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average and graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Associate Degree.
My management, telecommunications, and customer service backgrounds have made me a great communicator. I have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy the challenge of solving problems. I have no trouble accepting constructive criticism as it helps me hone my skills. Although I am somewhat of a perfectionist, it does not adversely affect my ability to perform. Rather, it assists me in performing to the best of my abilities.
Some of my other skills include familiarity with Eclipse IDE, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Windows Server, Minitab Statistical Software, Skype, and Zoom. My typing speed is 60 wpm. Since my goals mainly relate to learning, technology, and helping others, I believe that I would be a great company asset. My hobbies include gaming, crocheting, reading, maintaining a coral reef tank, and learning new languages.
